The House Commerce & Economic Development Committee has been taking testimony from representatives of statewide Chamber of Commerce organizations, affected business owners, and business leaders. GAP Funding provides funding for the gap of businesses that were missed with Cares Fund dollars.
One of the major gaps belonged to business owners who either started or purchased businesses in 2019 with no year over year numbers proving loss or financial injury as a result of the Coronavirus Pandemic. The GAP Funding Bill proposes $10million dollars to business that were unable to secure assistance from the first round of funding.
The committee continues to review testimony to determine the best course of action for GAP Funding.
